Deaf Awareness Week is a very special and heart-warming week that takes place from the 14th to the 20th May this year – especially sweet for those who suffer from hearing loss and problems. It is a unique campaign in which a load of separate organisations take part in raising awareness and sponsoring. It’s a huge spectacle every year, making a brilliant and again, a heart-warming collaboration between different organisations, all working towards this one campaign.
The campaign is hosted by the UK Council on Deafness, going to their deaf awareness week page allows an organisation to sponsor the campaign for £100. They even provide a variety of poster templates for an organisation to have for their event that they may be hosting, for the deaf awareness campaign.
Here is a summary of a statement by the Chair of the UK Council on Deafness, Craig Crowley. “This campaign is the perfect chance for our members to actively raise awareness for hearing loss and deafness, as well as providing an honourable mention to the many organisations that are supporting this campaign”.
